2nd Meetings of ASEAN Insolvency and Intellectual Property (IP) Judges and Practitioners

On 21 July, ASEAN insolvency and IP judges held separate meetings with practitioners in their respective fields. The meetings were jointly organised by the CACJ and ASEAN Law Association.

Participants at the insolvency session discussed how ASEAN-based restructurings can obtain recognition and relief across borders and sought the practitioners’ views on the Model Framework. The panel comprised insolvency judges and practitioners from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

The IP session took the form of a panel discussion on the topic “Challenges in Cross-Border Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights”, moderated by the Presiding Judge of the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court of Thailand. The panel comprised IP practitioners from Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
