First ASEAN Insolvency Judges Meeting

The First Meeting of ASEAN Insolvency Judges was held on 19 November 2024, on the sidelines of the 11^th CACJ Meeting held in Cebu, the Philippines. Organised by the Singapore Judiciary and hosted by the Philippines Judiciary, the meeting was attended by Insolvency Judges from all ASEAN Member States, bringing with them their subject matter expertise. The meeting fostered an understanding of the framework for insolvency and restructuring in the respective ASEAN jurisdictions and provided a forum for an exchange of experiences and perspectives on dealing with cross-border insolvency matters, which led to an initial assessment of potential areas for collaboration.  A Standing Meeting of ASEAN Insolvency Judges was thereafter approved by the CACJ.
